The fantastic Mediterranean climate, the year round sunshine and the clear, warm sea and the fact that Malta is extremely child friendly and the Maltese just love kids makes it a popular destination for a family holiday.

The popular resorts are Buggiba and St. Julian's. Buggiba is a lively place and focuses on bars and restaurants and St. Julian's is a village to suit all ages. Paceville, part of St Julian is known for its clubs and nightlife. Melleiha, Golden Sands, and Paradise Bays are popular for their sandy beaches. Mellieha Bay, found towards the North of the island is perfect for younger kids as great for paddling and swimming.

Things to do with children in Malta

Malta not only has fantastic beaches for the younger ones, they will enjoy a day out at one of the most popular family attractions, the Marine Park at Bahar ic-Caghaq, where you can get close up to sealions and the older kids ones can swim with dolphins. Splash and Fun Waterpark is just adjacent, so you can finish the day off shooting down the four water slides or playing in the playground.
